What happened

This Calais came to us running rough. The misfire was obvious and the idle was uneven, so we started with a full diagnostic assessment rather than guessing at parts.

Testing the injectors one at a time found the cause. Injector number 6 showed no electrical resistance. That is an internal fault in the injector, not something a spark plug or a code clear would have fixed.

We sourced a set of genuine Bosch injectors and came back the next day to fit them. Once they were in, we tested again and verified the engine was running properly before handing the car back.
